How do I Upgrade my Orca Email Archiver?

Intradyn Release does three to four updates to its Archiving Operating System (AOS) every year. The updates include new features, enhancements to current features, security updates and bug fixes.

NOTE: It is recommended that you keep your email archiving solution up-to-date with the latest software.

The current version of AOS is visible at the bottom of every page.

Click on Maintenance tab > Update Now

If you have the latest software you will see message like this.

If software updates are available you will see the following screen.

Click on View Release Details to read the detail release notes on all the packages.

Click on “Return to Update Page”

Click on Install button to start update

Click “OK” to confirm that you want to upgrade the system

The upgrade system will start and will update the system. You will see the following screen.

Click on the link “here” to see the status

NOTE: It might take a some time for the status to be available.  You can also click on Status tab > System Status menu item to get to the same place.

NOTE: The upgrade process is in Active Jobs area.  If you don’t see it here, see below in the Inactive Jobs area.  The processes move once to Inactive Jobs once they finish.

Click on magnifying glass icon to see the details of upgrade process.

At this point the upgrade process is downloading the software packages to you email archiving solution.

Once all the packages are downloaded successfully the upgrade process will start the installation.

The detail status screen will tell you when the upgrade process has completed the software updates.  End Time  will tell you when the upgrade process finished its work.

Congratulations! your email archiving solution is upgraded to the latest version of the software.
