To set the date and time in Orca manually, visit Configuration > Set Date/Time. Note that this page sets the system time only, not the timezone. All times stored in the backend are stored in UTC. Ensure that the “Your Timezone” field is filled in correctly. Since the timezone is a user setting and not a system setting, it can be set under the Default User Settings page or on the User Settings page. Select “Set Time Manually” as your Time Determination Method, then fill in the “Date and Time” field.
Synchronizing System Time and Date through NTP
Ensure that the “Your Timezone” field is correct.
Select “Synchronize with NTP Server” as your Time Determination Method.
From “PreSelected NTP Servers” choose any selection you prefer. Selecting the region that most closely matches your own will lead to the minimal amount of lag between the NTP servers and your Orca.
In the “NTP Servers” list, there will be a few servers listed by default. You can add an NTP server if one is available on your local network. The order of the listed servers does not matter as every sync uses all of the listed options to form a consensus on what time it is.
